Jumpin' Jay's voted Best Seafood Restaurant in New England. When it came to Best Seafood Restaurant, the combination of good food and loyal fans were the right ingredients for Jumpin' Jay's Fish Cafe. The Portsmouth, N.H. restaurant got a surge of votes in the last couple of days of voting to surge past Legal Sea Foods and Portland, Maine's Street and Company to capture the Best Seafood Restaurant title. When all was said and done, Jumpin' Jay's captured more than half the votes in our contest.

Once the food came, I understood why the place was crammed with locals. The steamed mussels floated in a broth of ginger-saffron, lemongrass, scallions, jalapeños, tomato, garlic, and shallots, but somehow the buttery briny tase of the plump mollusks blasted through loud and clear.

Jumpin' Jay's Fish Cafe a Perfect Catch - "As we sat in Jumpin' Jay's, my companion and I could not stop saying, "This is great, isn't it?", "Isn't this great!?" They concentrate on doing one thing - creating great seafood dishes - surrounding the food with professional friendly staff in a fun setting. And they do it extremely well."
